Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo 2016 hosted the second Electric & Hybrid Marine Awards, a ceremony that honoured the world's finest engineers, innovations and products in the electric and hybrid marine arena.

With a judging panel that boasted some of the world’s leading marine journalists, industry experts and academics, the Electric & Hybrid Marine Awards promise to become some of the most sought-after accolades within the marine industry.

Supplier of the Year - Corvus Energy


Last year’s Supplier of the Year winner has enjoyed another prosperous 12 months. In August it announced a 195kWh Energy Storage System (consisting of 30 Corvus AT6500 lithium polymer battery modules) to be integrated into a propulsion system powering the world’s first electric commercial fishing vessel. Norsepower

Propulsion System Manufacturer of the Year -
Wärtsilä


2016 has so far proven prosperous for Wärtsilä, with the OEM signing an agreement with Cavotec to jointly develop the world’s first combined induction charging and automatic mooring concept, thus making wireless charging of ship batteries possible, and releasing a complete concept for a series of zero- and low-emissions hybrid shuttle ferries. Electric & Hybrid Propulsion System of the Year - MV Catriona hybrid ro-ro passenger and vehicle ferry by Caledonian Maritime Assets
