24 June - Atlantic Stage -11.10 - Zero Emission Ship Technology Association (ZESTAs)
Learn what’s happening in real time from the First Mover Shipowners Panel – How and Why transition to absolute zero emissions NOW? Three ship owners will explain how they are combining currently available state of the art technology to not only drastically reduce emissions, but to get all the way to absolute zero. Van Dam Shipping were one of the first companies to install Wind Assisted Propulsion on their vessel. Capt. van Dam is now pursuing hydrogen to make his fleet truly zero emissions. Future Proof Shipping is dedicated to accelerating the maritime sector’s transition to zero emissions through tangible action. This commitment materialized with the launch of H2 Barge 1 (H2B1)—the first inland cargo vessel in the world to sail entirely on green hydrogen, powered by fuel cell technology. Maris Fiducia is taking a strategic approach, focusing first on hydrogen/deisel hybrid vessels in the Baltic region as a stepping stone to full hydrogen implementation.
