DAY 3: Vita introduces all-electric commercial RIB compatible with fast DC charging
Vita

Vita, a regular exhibitor in Amsterdam, is displaying its eye-catching 5.8m all-electric commercial SeaDog RIB, which is compatible with fast DC charging. Combining high performance and practicality with a one-hour charge time, the SeaDog is ideally suited to the operational requirements of ports and marinas, according to the company.

Vita offers an integrated ecosystem of high-performance electric powertrains and fully electric yachts, supported by dedicated marine supercharging infrastructure.

“It's been a great show,” said Nigel Watkins, naval architect at Vita Yachts, speaking on the second morning of the expo. “We’re here displaying our 5.8m SeaDog RIB, which is an iteration of our 7.2m Seal RIB that we've had in testing for a year and a half and is now in full production. This boat is the result of demand by harbormasters – we've seen a lot of municipalities and government authorities looking to go electric in their ports and their harbors. We have four of these going to the South of France, right after the show.

“The reception here at the show has been great, with a lot of interest from visitors who want to see the full powertrain and understand how we offer a full end-to-end solution. There’s been a lot of interest in the boat, but there's also a lot of interest in the technology that we provide. We can support a bunch of different applications, from research boats to superyacht tenders, and we have had a lot of people come up to ask if we can put this powertrain on other boats – and the answer is ‘yes’! We always say that we're more of a marine technology company than a fulfillment company. We're very focused on the engineering and the tech behind the powertrains themselves.”
