Nico studies microsystem engineering at the University of Freiburg. He worked in development of solar thermal power plants and thermal storage solutions. After 5 years he started to work in research of lithium ion battery technology focusing on battery safety and system integration in industrial applications and grid storage applications at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). In 2019 he started at XALT Energy, now Freudenberg Battery Power Systems, as an application engineer. Soon after that he started to build up the team for the marine activities at Freudenberg Battery Power Systems.
