The world’s leading exhibition and conference for maritime electrification, decarbonization and GHG reduction solutions returns to Amsterdam – June 2025!

Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe will showcase new electric and hybrid marine transportation and propulsion solutions, shore charging equipment and efficient emerging technologies to help you on your path to zero-emission shipping and net zero.

Taking place alongside the exhibition is the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe Conference, the only international conference dedicated to the electrification and hybridization of marine vessels, along with the associated supporting infrastructure for ports, charging, fueling and energy supply.

Call for Speakers Electric & Hybrid Marine Conference 2025

Electric & Hybrid Marine conference 2025 will continue its focus on innovation and technology but also the implications, consequences and opportunities of newly implemented regulation.

Considering decarbonization efforts, it is worth noting that half the vessels operating in 2050 will need have to have been converted to an alternative fuel. There is a serious question about the capacity to achieve that and therefore about which vessels can or should be converted, and to what.

We have regularly discussed various alternative fuels and energy sources, and we will again especially in light of the retrofitting theme. With nuclear power back in focus and wind technologies gathering acceptance there is a lot to talk about, so we have redesigned the conference format.

Inside the conference there will be more panels, interviews, and debates with more stakeholders involved and more opportunity to get to grips with the issues and discuss and debate business and strategic topics in greater depth. Outside of the conference, on the Expo floor, we have massively expanded the free to attend speaking opportunities to allow the technology to be presented to a wider audience.

The topic areas I would like to focus on next June are:

  • Retrofit and conversion
  • Vessel and Project Case Studies
  • FuelEU and carbon trading opportunities
  • Developments in fueling and charging infrastructure
  • Alternative Fuels and Energy Sources
  • System integration

Interesting presentations on other areas though will definitely be considered.
